only took a freak storm to knock out power to 2 million...

still havent been able to get that stain out of that costume. tried sending a bill to the guilty party, but the overseas mailing cost was somewhat prohibitive
(our new visitor doesnt have to worry. too hot and humid here to attempt any excess leg humping)

Good to see ya; HF and I chat now and again, but it's been amazingly quiet here at the Forum, and the truth is, I think Al Gore forgot to get the word out to our local weather gods for the Southwest!?? It's much drier than it should be, which IS bad for fires & wildlife, but it's defn been an ave, almost mild spring to summer season (hardly any days > 110F; it was just 90 for the high on the 4th, which is really low for a high).
SDH might be frying bacon on his compound sidewalk, but otherwise, not much shaking out this way...

Spoke to my sister in Tucson on the 4th via Facetime ... she said it had been raining most of the day !! A cloudy day in July in AZ, not even monsoon season. The end is near.......

Hot is right, but not unusually so. The humidity is starting to pick up as seen by the increase in the most amazing sunsets you'll ever see. Storms will be kicking up soon. Perhaps a few monster haboobs.

It's also nice to have a carrot on the end of the stick during July and August; taking the trucks up to the Escalante region of Utah in the Fall. Takes the mind of the thermometer.

Hey Rob--as you already know if you've been reading posts for a while, it's a nice enough group, relatively calm these days, but there have been issues with folks showing up, making odd requests or just being nasty (not that I am saying you fall into this category).
Some "newbie" that is busy trading shows or burning CDs for relatives and friends will with luck see your post and take on the small job (I've burned out on it myself, or I'd get off my lazy ass and help ya out). Alternatively, if you stick around, after a month or so of posts in which you become "friends" (seriously) with a few posters you'll find it EASY to request some CDs in the mail...
